Orlando, Florida... Spring Break 2007

Saturday, our last day in Florida. New Smyrna Beach.

Saturday, our last day we went over to see the Paynes again. We went to Surfside, where Bob and Kaire manage the condos. We spent some time on the beach walking along the ocean looking for sea shells. It was only 60 degrees that day. The ocean was very warm though. After a few hours at Surfside we went out to eat at Boston Fishhouse in New Smyrna with the Payne family. Shelby, Rena, and Chloe are in the picture with their grand aunt, Ikey Payne and Chris and Aisha Payne's daughter Christina. Afterwards we hit the road at about 6 pm Saturday night from New Smyrna Beach. Driving straight through back to Allendale, I pulled in my driveway back home at 1:30 pm on Sunday afternoon. 19 1/2 hours... I think that might be a record for me on my Florida drive! Rena on the way back had what I had Friday and threw up in a bag from about Kentucky to Michigan.

Friday, Last day at Disney Magic Kingdom

On Friday, out last day at the parks we went back to the Magic Kingdom. I wasn't feeling well on the way there. About an hour in the park I started to get worse.. I ended up in the bathroom at toontown throwing up. I left the park and went back to the hotel, Mindy and the girls stayed the rest of the day. It last all day Friday for me, Saturday I was fine again.

Daytona Beach and my Aunt Ikey's winter place

After a day at the beach we stopped by My Aunt Ikey Payne's new winter place in Port Orange, between Daytona and New Smyrna Beach. She has nice trailer on Rose bay. My cousins Bob Chris and Scott Payne were there too. While we were there on the deck a Manatee swam up close to the dock. Ikey is my dad's sister.

Daytona Beach Florida

We always like to take ride up to Daytona Beach when were over that way. We take a drive on the beach...check out the souvenir shops, and do some playing in the ocean. Some cool pictures of Rena and Shelby playing in ocean. Daytona is not the same as it was when I use to go there in the late 80s and early 90s. It's not the college spring break destination spot like it was back then. Seems to be an older crowd now....well older like my age I mean!

New Smyrna Beach. Breaker's

Wednesday we took a day off from the parks and drove over to New Smyrna Beach. We love it over there, and here we are at our favorite place to eat and people watch at the beach...Breakers. last time we were here in 2005 it was closed due to damage from a hurricane. We also stop and see my cousin Bob Payne and his wife Kaire. They manage Surfside Condos on the beach in New Smyrna. New Smyrna is about 20 miles south of Daytona Beach.

Disney Epcot

The best part of Epcot is the different countries, Nemo's turtle talk and their new ride Soarin....which is the same as Soarin over California which we rode in 2006 at California Adventure. Also the girls are ready for battle in their viking armor. Well maybe not Rena she look like a friendly viking or a lost viking...I'm not sure.
